Free, no upload, no watermark. loop.video is a single-purpose web app for repeating video. The visitor opens a clip (or a GIF), chooses the part that repeats with frame-accurate handles or an automatic loop-point finder, picks how long the result plays (a number of times, an exact length up to three hours, or the length of a song) and how the end joins the start (cut, crossfade or frame blend). One pass is encoded with WebCodecs and mediabunny, or the original frames are copied when nothing needs to change, and the compressed pass is written again for every repeat. Output is MP4, WebM, looping GIF or animated WebP. Free, with no account, no watermark and no sign-up wall. ## Looping a clip, step by step 1. **Open the clip**: Drop a video or GIF on the page, or choose Select video. MP4, MOV and WebM from phones and cameras open straight away. 2. **Pick the part that repeats**: Drag the Loop start and Loop end handles on the strip under the preview, or press Find the best loop to let the tool choose. Press Watch the join to check the moment the end meets the start. 3. **Choose how long it plays**: Under Repeat, pick Number of times, Length or Until the music ends. Set the Join to Cut, Crossfade or Blend, and the Sound to Original, Music or Off. 4. **Export and save**: Press Export video, then Download video. On a phone, Share or save to Photos puts it straight into your camera roll. Choose GIF or WebP under Export settings for a file that loops by itself. ## Looping questions people ask ### Is loop.video free? Yes. There is no charge, no account and no watermark, and the length limit is three hours per export. ### Is my video uploaded anywhere? No. The video, and any music you add, are read and encoded by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which also means there is no upload to wait for. ### How do I loop a video so it plays 5 times? Open it, leave Repeat on Number of times and press ×5 (or type any number up to 999), then press Export video. The result is one file that plays the clip five times in a row. ### Can I make a short clip last 10 minutes or an hour? Yes. Choose Length, then 10 min or 1 hour, or type any length up to 3:00:00 in Custom length. The last pass is trimmed so the file ends exactly on time. ### Why does an hour-long loop export so quickly? The tool encodes one pass of the loop, then writes those same compressed frames again for every repeat, so it never re-encodes identical pictures. When the loop starts on a key frame and nothing about the picture changes, it copies the original frames without re-encoding at all. ### How do I make a loop with no visible jump? Press Find the best loop. It searches for a start and end that look alike and move the same way, and rates the result from Excellent match to Poor match. If the match is only fair, switch Join to Crossfade so the end dissolves into the start. ### What is the difference between Crossfade and Blend? Crossfade overlaps the end of the loop with its start, so each pass gets shorter by the crossfade length. Blend mixes a few frames either side of the join to soften a small jump and keeps the length the same. ### Can I loop a video to the length of a song? Yes. Choose Until the music ends and pick an audio file. The video repeats under the song and stops when the trimmed song does. You can fade the music in and out and set its volume; it replaces the clip’s own sound. ### What happens to the sound when a video loops? With Original sound, Smooth the sound at the join blends the last moment of each pass into the first so there is no click. With a crossfade, the sound fades across the join along with the picture. ### Can I make a looping GIF or a cinemagraph? Yes. Choose GIF or WebP in Export settings for a file that loops on its own. For a cinemagraph, open More options, turn on Freeze everything except a painted area and paint over what should keep moving. ### Can I crop the loop for Reels or TikTok? Yes. Under More options, Shape offers 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 16:9. Drag the preview, or use Position, to choose what stays in frame. ### Does looping lower the quality? Only if the picture has to be encoded again, which happens for crossfades, crops, cinemagraphs and size changes. A plain cut that starts on a key frame, at the original size and Standard quality, copies the original frames untouched. ### Which browsers does it work in? Modern versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on computers and phones. Chrome and Edge open the widest range of formats. Animated WebP export needs Chrome, Edge or Firefox. ### Can it loop a YouTube video? No. loop.video works on files you have on your device.
